We are so excited for our 2nd Annual 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬, an Olympic-style event for Lafourche Parish School District high school students who qualify for APE services. These incredible athletes have been training so hard, competing in qualifying trials at their respective schools to earn a spot in six track and field events: 400m walk/jog, standing long jump, throwing for distance, 50m sprint, vertical jump, and 4x100 relay.

Check out the amazing event flyer in this post. It was designed by Tyler Arceneaux, a talented student at South Lafourche High School and one of our very own Bayou Olympics competitors. Come cheer on Tyler and all his fellow athletes as they give it their all and go for the gold.

The Lafourche Parish School District Federal Programs Department is proud to announce that Madelyn Fossum, senior at Central Lafourche High School, is one of only 13 students statewide selected to receive a scholarship from the Louisiana Association of Federal Education Program Administrators (LAFEPA).
