Together, we continue to build strong foundations for lifelong success -- one child, one classroom, and one community at a time.
Pictured are Marcus Thomas, Director of Early Childhood Systems with the Office of the Governor; Sandy Holloway, BESE District 3 Board Member; Barry Carter, LDOE Assistant Superintendent of Early Childhood Education; Jarod Martin, LPSD Superintendent; Jimi Encalade, LPSD Director of Federal Programs; and Semonne Holloway-Guidry, Director of Little Arrows Learning Academy.

🌟 Celebrating Our Aspiring Leaders 🌟
As National Principals Month draws to a close, we commend all of our campus leaders for accepting the challenge of school administration. Today we recognize three of our outstanding educators who are investing their time and energy to hone the skills, knowledge, and vision necessary to become our district's next generation of school administrators as participants in this year’s cohort of LDOE’s Aspiring Principals Fellowship.
Representing our district in this selective program are:
Bess Price - Assistant Principal at Central Lafourche High School
Rhea Westcovich - Elementary Curriculum Coach for South Larose Elementary and Cut Off Elementary
Candy Chiasson - Elementary Curriculum Coach for Bayou Blue Lower Elementary and Lockport Lower Elementary
These individuals are already incredible assets to our schools, and we are so proud of their commitment to growth and to leading our students and staff in the years ahead. The journey to becoming a school principal is challenging, and we commend them for taking this vital step. We are excited to see the impact they will make as future leaders of Lafourche Parish schools.
