For today’s #SummerSpotlight, the Lafourche Schools Spotlight is on the dynamic duo of Brian Williams and Ricky Doiron.

Brian serves as the head custodian at W.S. Lafargue Elementary, working hand-in-hand with fellow custodian Ricky. This amazing team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes this summer to ensure a clean, safe and inviting home for students and staff when they return in August.

They were nominated for the spotlight by WSL principal LauraMae Zeringue for their incredible work ethic and devotion to everyone on campus.

“Mr. Brian and Mr. Ricky are always there to lend a helping hand,” she said. “As custodians, they take pride in making sure our campus not only looks good, but is safe. They go above and beyond for our students and staff to make sure the campus feels like a home. They are truly one of a kind and one of the BEST custodian teams I have had the pleasure to work with!”

For both Brian and Ricky, the children they serve are at the heart of everything they do. They are both passionate about creating an inviting, joyful space where students and staff can truly thrive.

“I enjoy dressing up on dress up days with the kids,” Ricky said.

“I love celebrating our special needs students because they remind us that every student is unique and important in their own way,” Brian shared.

Please join us in thanking Brian and Ricky for their tireless service and their deep commitment to the students and staff of our district. We are so grateful for everything they’ve been doing to prepare their campus for a brand-new year of learning.
