This National EMS Week and EMS Recognition Day, we are proud to recognize our incredible EMR/EMT instructor and Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Sarah Allemand! 🚑❤️
Before stepping into the classroom, Mrs. Allemand spent years serving her community right here in Lafourche Parish with Lafourche Ambulance, answering calls, caring for patients, and making a difference during some of life’s most critical moments. During her time in EMS, she had the opportunity to work alongside many amazing medics and first responders — experiences and memories she will always cherish.
As her family grew, so did the demands on her time, leading her to discover a new passion in education. While she loved providing patient care in the field, her true calling became teaching and mentoring the next generation of emergency responders.
Today, Mrs. Allemand brings real-world experience, compassion, and dedication into the classroom every single day. She goes far beyond teaching skills and textbook knowledge — she inspires students to lead with confidence, professionalism, and heart while preparing them for careers centered around helping others.
Her commitment to student success, EMS education, and our school community is exactly why she was named Teacher of the Year — a truly well-deserved honor for someone who gives so much of herself to others.
Thank you, Mrs. Allemand, for your service, your passion, and your unwavering dedication to shaping future lifesavers! ⚕️
