At last nights award ceremony we also presented our most prestigious recognition — the Lafourche Parish Career Magnet Center Legacy Award. 🌟 

We wanted to create an award that would represent the very best of what the CMC stands for. The Legacy Award was designed to recognize students who truly embody the mission of our school. 

We presented one to a student representing our University Pathway, and one to a student representing our Career Pathway. 

Our University Pathway Legacy Award was presented to Nathan Dean. He has accomplished a number of achievements throughout his school career. Some of his most recent achievements was scoring a perfect 36 on the ACT and being accepted into MIT. He has been at the CMC for two years and truly demonstrates the true meaning behind this award. Congratulations Nathan! 📚

Our Career Legacy Award was presented to Morgan Guidry who has gone above and beyond in her achievements over the past two years here at the CMC. She made great strides and achievements in our Registered High School Apprenticeship Program. She is always willing to take on a new project and is a natural problem solver. In just 2 weeks, she will represent all of Lafourche Parish Apprentices as she sits on a panel discussion in front of all Louisiana Educators at the annual Louisiana Department of Education Teacher Leader Summit in New Orleans. Congratulations Morgan! 👩🏻‍🏭
